Wizards of the Coast has released an official soundtrack for Magic: The Gathering’s new Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty set, featuring iconic game composers.

Magic: The Gathering just got out Kamigawa: The Neon Dynastyhis first official soundtrack, for the new upcoming set of the same name. Magic: The Gathering is a popular collectible card game created by Wizards of the Coastthe company that owns Dungeons and Dragons as well as a number of other titles. MTG was one of the very first such games to hit the market and in 2018 it released a polished online version of the game called Magic: The Gathering Arenawhich replaced the much older Magic: The Gathering online.

Kamigawa is known for Magic players for a long time. The game’s first visit to the airplane was in 2004 with the Kamigawa Champions. It was only the tenth block of sets to be released in MTG, so that was pretty early in the game’s history. Kamigawa is an airplane whose culture, at least from what players have seen of it to date, is modeled after a fantasy version of feudal Japan. The name Kamigawa itself means River of the Gods, or Divine River in Japanese.

Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty is flying in a very different direction than in previous sets. The new set jumps ahead hundreds of years, and while the plane’s beloved ninjas and kami can still be found, Kamigawa has taken on a distinct cyberpunk vibe. Set further in the feudal years, players can explore an eerie but colorful magical and technological hybrid world. Track three on the Kamigawa: The Neon Dynasty the soundtrack features an interesting story right in the title. It is called “One with Phyrexia”. Phyrexia is another plane of the MTG multiverse, and the presence of its influence in Kamigawa is a bad sign for the locals.

the Kamigawa: The Neon Dynasty soundtrack is an exciting new way to Magic: The Gathering lovers to immerse themselves in the traditions, culture and feeling of the new whole. The very fact that Wizards of the Coast made an album for the game should excite fans for what they may have planned for the future, as well as what the album itself contains. Fans can listen Kamigawa: The Neon Dynasty today on various platforms, including Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music.
