Muv-Luv Alternative returns to Japanese TV in July 2022


Alternative Muv-Luva television anime adaptation based on the age-developed sci-fi visual novel series, returns to Japanese television for a second season in October 2022, and in anticipation of the new season, the first season will be re-aired in Japan with new OP/ED theme songs rearranged and remixed.

For the rerun, the opening theme from the first season, titled “Rinne” (“Samsara”) and performed by VWP, was revamped and now serves as the ending theme for the season. The ending theme for the first season, titled “TRISTAR” and performed by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION, has been revamped and now serves as the opening theme for the season.

Crunchyroll is currently streaming the first season of the Alternative Muv-Luv TV anime, and describes the story of the series as follows:

Alternative Muv-Luv is directed by Yukio Nishimoto and features animation production by FLAGSHIP LINE and Yumeta Company x Graphinica. The first season is scheduled to air again in Japan on Fuji TV and other stations from July 2022, while the second season is expected to air in Japan on Fuji TV and other stations from October 2022.
